After setup, you'll see the main dashboard.

Initial Exploration

1. Explore the Dashboard: - Review key metrics - Check recent activity - Understand status indicators

2. Check Your Organization: - Navigate to Operations → Organizations - View your organization details - Check assigned permissions

3. Review Assets (if any): - Navigate to Assets → Inventory - See existing assets - Understand asset types

4. Explore Runbooks: - Navigate to Automation Engine → Attack Platform - Browse available runbooks - Understand scanning capabilities

Setting Up Your Environment

Create Your First Engagement

Engagements organize your security testing work.

Steps: 1. Navigate to Operations → Engagements 2. Click Create Engagement 3. Fill in details: - Name: "My First Engagement" - Description: Brief description - Organization: Select your org - Scope: Define what to test 4. Click Create

Configure API Access

For CLI Usage:

  1. Navigate to Configuration → API Keys
  2. Click Create API Key
  3. Set name and permissions
  4. Copy key (shown once!)
  5. Store securely

Customize Dashboard

Personalize Your View:

  1. Click Customize on dashboard
  2. Add/remove widgets
  3. Rearrange layout
  4. Save preferences

Understanding Permissions

Your Role

Check your assigned role:

  1. Click user menu (top right)
  2. Select Profile
  3. View Roles & Permissions

Common Roles: - Viewer: Read-only access - Operator: Can run scans - Admin: Full access - Custom: Specific permissions

What You Can Do

Based on Role:

Viewer: - View dashboard - View assets - View reports - No modifications

Operator: - Everything Viewer can do - Create engagements - Run scans - Manage assets

Admin: - Everything Operator can do - Manage users - Configure settings - Manage API keys

If not admin: - Contact your organization administrator
